n8n community node for MotorHangar

n8n-nodes-motorhangar adds two nodes to a self-hosted n8n. MotorHangar covers every operation of the API — cars, catalog, markets, leads and account — and can also be used as a tool by n8n's AI Agent. MotorHangar Trigger starts a workflow when a new lead arrives or a car changes.

How it works

  1. On self-hosted n8n, open Settings → Community nodes → Install and enter n8n-nodes-motorhangar.

  2. Create a MotorHangar API credential with your mh_ key; n8n tests it with GET /me.

  3. Add the MotorHangar node and choose an operation, for example Vehicle → Sync to send a whole stock list.

  4. Or start a workflow with MotorHangar Trigger → New Lead, and forward each buyer to email, Slack or your CRM.

What syncs

  • Vehicles: create or update, get, list, mark as sold, withdraw, sync and reconcile
  • Catalog brands and models, and each market's vocabulary
  • Leads, newest first
  • Trigger events, by polling: New Lead and Vehicle Updated

Limitations

  • Beta: built and tested, not yet run by a dealer in production.
  • Community nodes need an n8n that allows them, usually self-hosted. Elsewhere, the HTTP Request node with a Header Auth credential calls the same API.
  • The trigger polls, so it is not instant.
  • Vehicle Updated also fires for changes your own workflow makes: filter by source to avoid loops.

Questions about n8n

Does it work on n8n Cloud?

Community nodes need an instance that allows them, which usually means self-hosted. Without the node, the core HTTP Request node with a Header Auth credential (Authorization: Bearer and your mh_ key) calls the same API.

Will the trigger replay my old leads?

No. On activation it remembers the newest record and emits nothing; after that it emits each new lead once, oldest first.

Can I sync more than 500 cars?

Yes. The Sync operation sends every batch of 500 first and then calls Reconcile once, so one batch never marks the previous ones as sold.

Does a lead include the buyer's phone number?

No. Buyer contact details are never included; the lead has the conversation and a url to reply through MotorHangar's chat.
