About MotorHangar
MotorHangar is a free site, made by The01Company, that puts official car data and used cars for sale in one place: specifications, fuel economy, crash-test ratings, recalls and owner complaints for 10,408 model years from 135 brands, with listings in 116 markets.
What it is
- One page per vehicle and model year, the same for every country, with each figure labelled with its source and the region it comes from.
- Used cars for sale, posted by their owners and by dealers, market by market. Each listing links to its model's data page.
- Free to read and free to post. No one pays to see, contact or post a listing.
Where every number comes from
Every figure on MotorHangar comes from one of these public sources. The counts are what is in our database today.

“Most recent” is the date of the newest record from that source (a campaign, a complaint, a test) or the latest model year, not the date we last imported it.
- Fuel economy is measured on the U.S. test cycle. Real-world figures in other countries differ with fuel, traffic and altitude.
- A U.S. recall may not apply to a vehicle sold in another country. Check your VIN with the manufacturer or the official source.
- Crash tests are regional: a Euro NCAP or Latin NCAP result tests the version sold in that region, which can differ in airbags and structure. Each page says which programme a rating comes from.
What MotorHangar does not do
- It does not publish estimates it cannot source: no made-up values, scores or rankings.
- It does not verify cars, sellers, dealers or documents. See the car in person and check the papers before paying.
- It does not take part in any sale, and never asks anyone to pay to post or to contact a seller.
Who makes it
MotorHangar is built and run by The01Company. The data is imported and checked by our own code; listings are written by the people who post them.
