    If the vehicle has a reserva de dominio (retention of title by a lender), a release settlement (finiquito de liberación) is required for the transfer; the INTT has its own procedure to record the release.

    The transfer requires a Constancia de Experticia Vehicular issued by the Policía Nacional Bolivariana (PNB) and a copy of a valid vehicle civil liability policy from an insurer registered with SUDEASEG.
