   Get a queue ticket through the Main Service Center's e-booking system (log in with an electronic signature, BankID or Diia.Signature) or at the terminal inside the service center. You can use any service center that suits you.

   The MVS describes an expert examination of the vehicle as optional, done at the wish of the seller or the buyer.

3. Sign the sale contract at the service center Requerido por ley Vendedor y comprador

   Go to the service center together. The administrator drafts the sale contract and re-registers the car in the same visit. Drafting the contract at an MVS service center is free.

4. Agree what happens to the number plate Recomendado Vendedor y comprador

   If both parties agree, the seller can keep the existing plate for later use on another car, or the plate can stay with the car. An ordinary plate passes to the new owner free of charge. Plates with a special number combination are paid.

5. Buyer receives the new registration certificate and plates Requerido por ley Comprador

   After re-registration the new owner gets a registration certificate in their name and the number plates. Re-registration with a new plate in a free combination costs 1,240 UAH: 350 UAH for the service, 540 UAH for the certificate form and 350 UAH for the plate.

6. Or do the whole sale online in Diia Recomendado Vendedor y comprador

   In the Diia app the seller chooses 'Sell a vehicle', enters the price and shares the draft contract with the buyer by QR code or link. The buyer chooses a plate and a certificate format and pays. The car is checked automatically in the state vehicle register, and both sign with Diia.Signature. The service covers passenger cars, motorcycles and mopeds, and a seller can use it once a year.

7. Check whether you owe tax on the sale Requerido por ley

   Income from the first car sold in a calendar year is not taxed. A second or further sale in the same year is taxable.

• Do not 'sell' a car with a power of attorney instead of a sale contract: a power of attorney does not change the owner, and the MVS says the 'general power of attorney' is a myth. Complete the sale and re-registration at an MVS service center.
• Scammers post cars that do not exist at attractive prices and use forged documents. Do not trust document copies sent by messenger, and check registration certificates with the official document-check service on the Main Service Center website.
• The sale contract at an MVS service center is free. Treat anyone asking for a fee to 'arrange' the contract as a warning sign.
