Vendez votre voiture à Serbie

The change of owner is registered by the Ministry of Interior (MUP) when the buyer applies for a new registration certificate (saobraćajna dozvola), based on a written sales contract whose signatures are certified by a notary or another competent authority. Before going to MUP the buyer must self-assess and pay the 2.5% transfer tax online through eUprava. Publier sur MotorHangar est gratuit et prend environ trois minutes ; vous n'avez pas besoin des documents pour publier.

Étape par étape

  1. Draw up a written sales contract Requis par la loi Vendeur et acheteur

MUP registers the new owner only on a proof of ownership with settled taxes, such as a sales contract (kupoprodajni ugovor). Between private individuals the contract is the document that proves the change of ownership.

  2. Have both signatures certified Requis par la loi Vendeur et acheteur

When the change of ownership is proven with a contract between private individuals, the signatures of seller and buyer must be certified by a court or other competent authority. Public notaries (javni beležnik) certify signatures; in doing so they only confirm who signed, not the content of the contract. Notary fees are fixed by the official Notary Tariff.

  3. Buyer calculates and pays the transfer tax online Requis par la loi Acheteur

For a used car sold between private individuals who are not VAT payers, the buyer is the taxpayer and the tax is self-assessed: no tax return is filed. The eUprava service of the Tax Administration computes it from the registration certificate data (engine capacity, power, age) and issues a payment slip; it must be paid before applying for the new registration certificate.

    2.5% of a legal value = (320 × engine cc + 6,400 × kW) × age coefficient (100% down to 30% for cars over 10 years), in dinars

  4. Buyer applies at MUP for the change of owner Requis par la loi Acheteur

At a MUP counter the buyer submits the registration sheet (registracioni list), the registration certificate as proof of origin, the certified contract, ID and the fee payment slip generated on eUprava. If the tax was paid online by card or instant payment MUP sees it at once; with other payment methods bring the payment receipt.

  5. Do it within 15 days Requis par la loi Acheteur

The Road Traffic Safety Law requires the owner or user of a vehicle to report, within 15 days, a change of any data entered in the registration certificate, which includes the owner.
