1. Clear traffic fines and keep the registration valid Richiesto dalla legge

   The MOI asks that the vehicle's registration (Istimara) be valid and that there be no traffic violations before the transfer; outstanding fines block the transfer both in Metrash2 and at the counter.

2. Pay off any car loan and get the bank's NOC Richiesto dalla legge

   If the car is financed, ownership cannot be transferred until the loan is settled and the bank issues a no-objection / release letter.

3. Sort out the insurance Richiesto dalla legge Venditore e acquirente

   If the car has comprehensive insurance, it must be transferred to the buyer's name before ownership can be transferred via Metrash2; otherwise the buyer needs a policy in their own name.

4. Submit the sale request in Metrash2 Richiesto dalla legge

   In Metrash2 go to Traffic Services > Vehicles > Ownership Transfer, enter the buyer's and vehicle details and submit the sale request.

5. Buyer approves the transfer, then fees are paid Richiesto dalla legge Venditore e acquirente

   The buyer receives a notification and must approve the transfer before it can be finalised; the fees are then paid and the transfer completed. Alternatively, both parties (or a representative with power of attorney) can complete it at a Traffic Department office.

6. Check the car is no longer under your QID Consigliato

   Until the new registration is issued in the buyer's name the car remains legally the seller's; confirm in Metrash2 that it no longer appears under your Qatar ID.
