Venda seu carro em Portugal

In Portugal the change of owner is recorded in the Registo Automóvel run by the IRN (Instituto dos Registos e do Notariado). Registration is mandatory within 60 days of the sale; the key step is filling in the Requerimento de Registo Automóvel, signed by buyer and seller, where the seller signs the sale declaration. Publicar no MotorHangar é gratuito e leva cerca de três minutos; você não precisa dos documentos para publicar.

Passo a passo

  1. Show the buyer a current certidão permanente Recomendado

The certidão permanente automóvel shows the registered owner, the vehicle identification, any charges on the vehicle and pending requests. Anyone can request or consult it, and it is valid for six months.

€10 (online or at a counter); €17 on paper; consultation free with the access code
