Venda seu carro em Porto Rico

In Puerto Rico ownership is transferred by signing the transfer section of the Certificate of Title and registering the transfer (traspaso) with DTOP at a CESCO, either in person or through the CESCO Digital app. The buyer then collects a new title in their name. Publicar no MotorHangar é gratuito e leva cerca de três minutos; você não precisa dos documentos para publicar.

Passo a passo

  1. Pay off any lien and get a payoff letter Obrigatório por lei

If the car has a conditional-sale lien (gravamen mobiliario), bring a payoff letter (carta de saldo) with a USD 5 internal revenue voucher; it is free if the lien was recorded after 13 January 2013. CESCO Digital transfers require the car to have no liens and be fully paid.

The transfer can be done in the CESCO Digital app if the vehicle is private, has no liens or toll fines, is fully paid, was registered after 11 July 1987, the seller has the original title and both parties are at least 21 and have the app. Otherwise it is done at a CESCO.

  3. Sign the transfer on the Certificate of Title Obrigatório por lei Vendedor e comprador

The transfer is sworn on the back of the Certificado de Título (or by an affidavit signed by seller and buyer). With CESCO Digital, after paying, the seller signs in the Seller Signature area and hands the title to the buyer, who fills in the transfer boxes and writes 'CESCO DIGITAL DTOP' in the notary/authorized official field.
