Vende tu auto en Luxemburgo

In Luxembourg the seller declares the sale to the SNCA (national vehicle-registration company), which takes the car off the road, and the buyer then registers it in their name at the SNCA. The key step is declaring the sale to the SNCA within 5 working days. Publicar en MotorHangar es gratis y toma unos tres minutos; no necesitas la documentación para publicar.

Paso a paso

  1. Draw up a signed sales contract Requerido por ley Vendedor y comprador

Between private individuals the sale document must be a contract signed by both parties, identifying the vehicle (chassis number, make, model, mileage), the date, the price and both parties' names and addresses, with a copy of each party's ID card. You must appear as the last official owner. The buyer needs the original to register the car; the Automobile Club (ACL) offers contract templates.

  2. Remove the number plates Requerido por ley

The seller must remove the plates when selling. A standard registration number stays with the vehicle until it is permanently withdrawn; a personalised number stays reserved in your name for 12 months after deregistration.

  • Make sure the contract clearly names the buyer and the seller as last official owner: if the paperwork cannot clearly identify the new owner, the SNCA may register the buyer only as holder, not owner.
