   The buyer's ownership document must be either a sale contract certified by a Kazakh notary, or, when the transaction is done through the eGov portal or other digital channels, signed with the EDS of both the previous and the new owner.

2. Seller files the online application Obrigatório por lei

   On egov.kz or eGov Mobile the seller files the electronic application; police check the seller and the car against wanted lists and for bans or restrictions on registration actions and decide on deregistration within 20 minutes. Identity is confirmed with biometrics or EDS.

3. Buyer confirms and pays the fees Obrigatório por lei Comprador

   Once deregistration is approved, the application appears in the buyer's personal account for confirmation. Police then check the buyer for wanted status, restrictions, payment of the registration fee and state duties, and unpaid road-safety fines, and approve the registration within 20 minutes.

4. Buyer collects the new registration certificate Obrigatório por lei Comprador

   After a notification, the buyer goes to the State Corporation branch, hands in the old registration certificate (and plates if they are being replaced) and receives the new certificate (SRTS) and plates. The online service takes up to 60 minutes; in person at the State Corporation up to 90 minutes.

5. Alternatively, do it in person at the State Corporation Recomendado Vendedor e comprador

   The seller can deregister the car at a State Corporation branch, handing over the plates and receiving the registration certificate marked as deregistered, after which the buyer registers it with the notarized contract. Deregistration without subsequent registration is not available online.

• Registration is refused if the car or a party is on a wanted list or the car has bans or restrictions (e.g. a pledge); the online flow checks this before the transfer, so complete it before handing over the car and money.
