Venda seu carro em Índia

Ownership of a sold car is transferred by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) of the state where it is registered, through the national Vahan system. The essential step is filing Form 29 (seller's notice) and Form 30 (transfer application) with the RTO so the registration certificate is issued in the buyer's name. Publicar no MotorHangar é gratuito e leva cerca de três minutos; você não precisa dos documentos para publicar.

Passo a passo

  1. Clear any loan recorded on the car Obrigatório por lei

If the registration certificate carries a hire-purchase, lease or hypothecation entry, get a No Objection Certificate from the financier and apply to the RTO in Form 35 to record the termination of the agreement.

  2. Get an NOC if the buyer is in another state or RTO area Obrigatório por lei

When the vehicle will be moved outside the jurisdiction of the RTO where it is registered, the owner applies for a No Objection Certificate in Form 28 to that RTO, paying any due road tax first.

  3. Sign Form 29 and Form 30 Obrigatório por lei Vendedor e comprador

The seller reports the transfer in Form 29 to the registering authorities where seller and buyer reside. Form 30 is the transfer application; both forms are submitted together with the supporting documents.

  4. Apply for transfer of ownership on Vahan Obrigatório por lei Vendedor e comprador

On the Vahan citizen portal enter the registration number, choose Basic Services, validate the last 5 digits of the chassis number with an OTP, select 'Transfer of Ownership', enter service and insurance details, pay the fee, upload documents and book an RTO appointment where required.

  5. Pay the transfer fee within the deadline Obrigatório por lei Comprador

Parivahan states the Form 30 application must be made within 14 days of the transfer if the vehicle is registered in the same state, and within 45 days if registered in another state. The central fee for transfer of ownership is half of the registration fee (Rs 600 for a non-transport light motor vehicle), plus any state tax.

Half of the registration fee under rule 81 CMVR: Rs 300 for a private car (non-transport LMV); states may add tax or charges

  6. RTO verifies and issues the RC in the buyer's name Obrigatório por lei Comprador

After submission the application moves to the RTO for processing; once approved, the registration certificate is recorded and issued in the buyer's name.

Regras que mudam por região

Maharashtra
Offers a 'faceless' transfer of ownership on Vahan with Aadhaar authentication and no RTO visit, only for individually owned, non-transport, non-hypothecated Maharashtra-registered vehicles where seller and buyer both live in Maharashtra and the owner's Vahan details match Aadhaar. The seller starts the application, the buyer completes it with the application number, pays and uploads ID/address proofs, an RC photocopy and photos of the vehicle front and chassis number. Fonte

Fique seguro quando compradores entrarem em contato com você

  • Until the RTO records the transfer, the seller remains the registered owner in the RTO's records; complete Form 29/30 promptly rather than just handing over the keys and RC.
