Mantente seguro cuando los compradores se pongan en contacto contigo

  • DVLA warns that possessing a car or using its number plate does not make you the owner: only the official DVLA transfer does, so finish it at the office rather than handing over signed papers.
  • DVLA says it cannot change its records if the registered owner did not sign the transfer and cannot be traced; the buyer would then need a court order, so the seller should attend the transfer in person.
